Small Problems

I HATE ANTS!!! Can someone please tell me why God created these little creatures? Seriously, what is their purpose?

It all started when I walked into my closet this morning to get clothes out in order to get dressed, the first thing I did was pull the chain that is connected to the light bulb in the ceiling. The next thing I know, I have ants raining down on my head - eeewww...

I looked up to find ants crawling out of the hole of the light socket - many many ants in my closet....

My first reaction was to run to my computer and immediately start typing in bold CAPITAL letters to Brian, telling him that I needed his help, I told him my closet was infested with ants and they were falling on my head. After about 5 lines of bold, all caps typing, and no response from my Knight in shining Armor that was to save me (not really sure how I thought he was to save me, with him at work and me all the way in Chesapeake)...So, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Brian, I guess, assuming that I would need it at some point, bought me a can of "bug killer" - so I went in and just started shooting - they all died on contact, but I am not sure how long that is going to last, and to be honest I haven't gone back in there since! I figured I would wait for my "knight" to show up later tonight and take care of it. Seems like investing in an ant-eater for my closet would work, either that or a trip to Walmart to get some ant traps, I assume my "knight" is going to suggest the latter!

Then, my friend Jenny called to tell me that her hot water tank broke while she was at work today and her bottom floor of her apartment was mildly flooded. :( What is the dealio today? Instantly my ant problem didn't seem all that big of a deal - I prayed for Jenny and offered her to come over here. God has a way of always showing us that things could be worse....

But, I still despise ants and even though I took a shower right after the whole ordeal, I still have felt itchy all day, like they are crawling all over me....ugh...I wish Brian would hurry up and get here....
