Brian sliced open his leg at work on Tuesday afternoon and when Jenny and I returned back to my house after class, Brian says, "hey babe, before you leave, can you clean up my cut and put new bandages on it." Of course, I said I would. So, he proceeded to take off the butterfly bandages that he had on his leg and show us the hole that was underneath it. As soon as I saw it, my gut reaction was, "you totally need to get someone to look at that."
It didn't take much coaxing, I think he knew that it needed to be looked at also. So, Jenny and I got him in the car and drove over to the Emergency room around 11pm at night and we were there until around 2:30am. Thankfully though, we left, after 5 stitches later and a wonderful tetanus shot in the upper arm.
Brian is a champ - the needle to numb the location would have been enough to put me over the edge - He took it all in stride and took it like a warrior! I love him and I now know that it is definitely true love (not that I needed convincing). But when your heart physically aches to see someone you love in pain, you can be sure that it is true love.
I love him so much.
PS - The stitches need to come out in 10 days - ummm, that is Our WEDDING Day! How funny is that? Brian is going to take them out himself, right before he walks down the aisle! :)
