It Strikes Again...

The nasty flu strikes our house once again!

It must have been a combination of a busy weekend, not a lot of sleep, and lots of kisses and hugs from lots of people.

Brian was home from work today - in the bathroom most of yesterday, last night, and this morning. His temperature was 101.3 last night - Not fun! My fever was a bit concerning as it kept crawling up, instead of coming down. We called the midwifery center for some suggestions and finally sometime during the night the fever broke. Thankfully, Brian didn't get all the symptoms that I did, at least one of us is doing a little better. My fever has been coupled with sore throat, pounding headaches, vomiting, cough, and congestion.

I missed the breastfeeding class that was scheduled for last night. I had signed up for it and paid for it months ago. Of course, I am extremely disappointed about that. :( Tonight, Brian is attending birthing class with out me as well. The nasty flu bug going around this year is just horrible. As you pray for us, we will be praying that you all are able to steer clear of it. I talked to my mom today, and my Aunt Julie and cousins Rachel and Carrie (who were all here for the shower) have exactly the same symptoms that I do. Bummer!!!

I promise, as soon as I have enough energy to get off the couch and do something productive, I will be posting about the shower this weekend. Words can't even express how blessed we are and how loved Sierra is, already! The shower and the weekend with family was absolutely wonderful!
