House Update - Driveway & Lighting

The house is coming along very nicely. I was out there yesterday and very happy to see that the driveway has now been laid. :) The lights are all in as well as the mirrors in the bathrooms, the cabinets, the flooring (no carpet yet) and the door hardware is all installed. We also got a call this week that our final walk-through inspection is scheduled for Wednesday, October 3rd. Wow! That is less than 2 weeks away!!! During that same call, we were told that the builder would like to close on the 12th of October. We are so thrilled and hopeful that we can make that date work for all involved!

This week also marked our "beginning packing" stage. :) My (newly retired - more on that in another post) Mom came out for 2 days and helped us get the process started. I tend to need some motivation and it is also good to have another set of eyes and hands to keep up with our 3 little monkeys. We were able to get Sierra & Chyler's room and also Ariella's nursery all packed up! We are looking forward to having her come back again this week to tackle two more rooms. I think we might attempt to sort through the mess of toys that we have. Yikes! That could be a full day endeavor! LOL! I did sell the train table today though and I plan to bag up and sell MANY other toys too. I am learning that child #2 & #3 don't really care to play with "baby toys" as much...it seems subsequent children tend to "play up" - So I think I am going to part with many of our baby toys. As sad as it makes me feel, it needs to be done. I desperately want to rid myself of my "pack rat" character trait and start fresh at this beautiful new house. My goal is to be more organized and realize that less really IS more. At least that is what I keep telling myself! My new mantra as we pack this time around.

I hope to take some more pictures during our final walk-through in a week and a half...until then, here are the most recent pictures. :)
