The girls and I stopped by the house today and we were happy to see that they have graded out the front yard a little bit. They have also spread some dirt in what will (hopefully) become our driveway. The house is now locked but I was able to get a few (not so good) shots through the windows. I was happy to see that the stair railings are up, the front porch railings are up, the gutters are in place, trim along the floors and frames around the doors and windows are also in place. It is coming along a little bit here and there.
Every time we make a visit out to the lot I just get more and more giddy about moving in and living there. I could list probably 100 things that I am most excited about, but to name just a few, 1) being so much closer to my sister's houses 2) being closer to friends, dance class, doctor's offices, stores, church, and just about everything else 3) owning our OWN house with a pantry, a garage, land for the girls, 2nd floor laundry, storage space, large closets, etc. etc. -- We just can not wait!!!!
The only downside is landscaping, which our parents warned us about...but look at that front yard and that rocky soil. I am not even sure how to begin to get grass to grow in that. But I am choosing not to worry about that project until we come to it....
