The B.R.A.I.N. Celebration of Hope 2010 is this coming Sunday, 10/10/10.

Many of you know, because my dear friend and founder of B.R.A.I.N., Marguerite Sciuk, ended her battle last September with her brain tumor, we did not have the Celebration of Hope last year. That means this year is that much more important! B.R.A.I.N. needs all the support and funds we can provide. After 2 Brain Surgeries, 5 weeks of radiation, and multiple chemo-therapies, God's Ultimate Healing on Daniel Lee Gregory was achieved on June 19, 2006! What a joyous celebration there must have been in Heaven that day! Daniel was the biggest warrior I have ever known. The torch is being passed now to those of us left behind and we all have a very hard battle left to fight. Please consider joining Brian and I, the Stank & Gregory families, and many friends that love Daniel as we walk to CELEBRATE his memory. To walk with us, click on "Register for this event" across the top menu bar of this page. Make sure during your registration when they ask you if you are apart of a team you select YES and type in Team of FAITH. If you are unable to walk with us, please prayerfully consider monetarily sponsoring us. B.R.A.I.N. is a very important organization for the Richmond Brain Tumor Community. Team of FAITH will also be walking this year in Memory of our dear friend, Clint Cooper who was diagnosed in March 2008 with an AA Grade III and passed away July of 2009. In Honor of our sister-in-law Blakely's uncle - Dexter Payne who just went through another brain surgery late this summer, & In memory of Katie Benner, a dear friend of mine and Daniel's who passed away in May 2009.  Unfortunately, these are just a few names of people we know and love who have fought this fight. At least 5 other people come to mind right away. This is a horrible illness and we need to fight to continue to make a difference!

A little bit about B.R.A.I.N. - Their mission is to provide critically important information to newly diagnosed patients, improve the quality of life of brain tumor survivors and fund research to help find better treatments and ultimately a cure for this devastating disease. Every donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and will help to continue this mission.

A little bit of history about our team: In 2004 we walked in a fundraiser that supported the Richmond Brain Tumor Support Group and we were the top fundraisers, bring in over $1000. Then in 2006 we walked in the 1st annual Celebration of Hope and raised over $2200. In 2007 we raised $2700, and had 21 people walk with us (plus the two little growing babies - Sierra and Deacon) in memory of Daniel!!!! Also, we were 2nd place fundraisers!!! Then in 2008 we participated in the 4th Celebration of Hope and because of wonderful friends and family like you, we raised over $3200!!!! That means, in the past 5 years our team, TEAM OF FAITH has raised over $9100.00!!!!!!! Please help us continue in this fight!!! Our goal this year is $3500.00!
