I took these pictures a while ago and I am just now getting around to posting them. Sierra lately has become VERY interested in the cats. When the cats walk by she gets very excited and starts to squeal. If I ask her "where are your kitties?" or "what does the kitty say? - Meow..." She gets very happy and excited. It is very cute.
When the cats get close, she really wants to touch them and she reaches out to do so. Our cats have never bitten or scratched anyone in a defensive way; but I am still cautious, because Sierra's way of "petting" is by grabbing a hold of their hair and not letting go. I am consistently trying to teach her the word "gentle". Hopefully as she grows she will learn this. As for now, I am not sure that all the love Sierra has for the cats is shared by them, even though they do come up to her and rub on her every now and again. Only time will tell! As for now, they will just continue to be fun "toys" for her to look at and "chase".
