SunSet at Jockey's Ridge

On Tuesday night we enjoyed a wonderful dinner out and then we headed over to Jockey's Ridge State Park.  We were staying in Duck, which is about 16 miles north of Nags Head, so we figured since we were in the Nags Head area, we would catch some of the sights.  I personally LOVE Jockey's Ridge and have been there numerous times before, so I really wanted to share it with my family as well.  This was one of Daniel's favorite places to go also.

We were able to get there just in time to watch the sunset over the sound.  It was glorious and magnificent.  It is a clear reminder of how wonderful are Lord and Creator is.  Truly amazing!

Here are some pictures of the evening...

Us at Dinner
Kate & Shaun at dinner
Sierra at dinner - She chose to eat lamb instead of any seafood. (I guess she takes after her dad and loves lamb.)

Mom and Dad at dinner with their grand babies.

Pierce always giving Sierra kisses whenever he can! :)
Hugs are free anytime too...

The sisters and cousins on top of Jockey's Ridge.

Sierra and I enjoying the sunset.

Trying to take a picture with the kiddos, but Pierce is more interested in the sand and Sierra is more interested in watching Pierce.
After a while, we gave up on the poses and decided to start helping them bury their toes.

Beautiful Sunset!
Brian and Sierra watching the sunset.
Kate taking in the vastness of the dunes.
Pierce loves the sand!!!
