Pepper Spray

He Survived!

On Friday afternoon Brian, along with the rest of his training class, were pepper sprayed in the face. After being sprayed, they had to do a series of "obstacles" and defense stations. Of course Brian did excellent! When he got home, I wanted to take a picture - his eyes looked horrible (not sure how safe his drive home was) -but he didn't want to be photographed.

Brian was selected to go last and help everyone in his class get through all the obstacles, so he said by the time it was his turn, he was already burning and stinging because he was getting the spray from others on himself. He has been through this before. He was sprayed while in Military Police School in the Marine Corp. but he claims it isn't any better the second time around.

In fact, for all you women out there, one of the girls in his class said she would rather give birth again then go through this. When Brian came home and said that pepper spray in the face is worse than labor, I laughed at him and I told him that I would have to disagree with that; especially since he has never given birth before! He offered to spray me once he is issued his can so that I can make my own decision, but I kindly passed on that offer. :)

I have been told that there will be pictures at graduation of them getting sprayed, but for now this sample picture I found online will have to do...
