Ariella is 7 months old today!
I can hardly believe it. These 7 months have really flown by. The past month has been the most exciting too. She started eating solid foods about a week and a half ago, she popped through a new tooth on that same day, and she started sitting up all by herself around that same time as well (about 6.5 months old). She is such a joyful baby. I really can't say that enough. She is so calm, peaceful, content, social, and happy. We are enjoying every moment watching her grow and develop.
She loves to sleep, once she gets there and can stay there. She is probably our toughest baby when it comes to sleep though, ie. waking early, still fussing when put down sometimes, & a short napper). I think all those things come with being a 3rd baby and having to roll with our busy agenda sometimes. I also think having our living arrangements on the same floor as the bedrooms has contributed to her sleeping issues. In fact, just last week at my parents house, she slept in till 10:30am and took amazingly long naps. I think it has something to do with being upstairs away from all the noise and excitement. That is definitely one thing I am looking forward to in our new house.
She has tried rice (homemade), squash, avocado, applesauce, & sweet peas so far. The avocado and applesauce are her favorites. She wasn't so keen on the rice and I also gave her one "puff" and she kept gagging on it. I think the more solid foods are going to take her a while to get used to, which is also different from the other two. They both jumped on solid foods and never looked back; Ariella seems to have a "take it or leave it" attitude.
She has started sitting up on her own, which is oh so fun for the big girls. They love to hand her a hundred different toys and watch her try to play with them all at once. It is so fun for all three of them! Just wait until she starts moving though...they are really in for it then! :)
Here's some more pictures of our big 7 month old....
